How about removing all lower tier teams from their schedule?
I'll give VPI credit where it's due. Over the last 5 or 6 years they have made an effort to strengthen their OOC schedule. That said, it isn't like this is a new argument. I've been saying it since at least 94 or 95.
For a program that likes to claim elite status, they sure do play a lot of cupcakes.
Tech sucks, always have, always chokes on the big game.
I'm not saying they are not a good football team. The fact is the ONLY legit team that they have played (LSU) from the word go dominated them. Oregon lost by 7 to the now number 2 team, beat Michigan BAD at the Big House. All I want to know is what justifies VT being ranked 9th in this poll?
Everytime Tech schedules a power team such as LSU or USC they surround it with cupcakes such as W&M, Ohio, Florida A&M, ECU, or Ohio.
There is no justification for Tech being ranked anywhere.

VT has scheduled USC and LSU (twice) out of conference...any other team in the nation done that??

it's simple, who is the ONLY team in the nation to play two of the teams in the top 5?? it's not any SEC team (don't start on conference arguments, the ACC sucks) it's not Texas, it's not USC...hmmm and yet, we got armchair quarterbacks talkin bout that team havin an easy schedule...

First off, we are talking about Virginia Tech, Miami isnt even in this poll so why in the world would we even talk about them?
FIU was a go between until they could get a series with UF and USF which start next year. We dont even have to talk about Marshall since everyone plays or has played Marshall. I remember Marshall supposedly being a quality opponent when you guys played them. I think the general consensus is that the Miami Hurricanes have generally played a pretty good schedule every year. So youre saying Oklahoma isnt LSU? lol, who knows whats going to happen. You might see Oklahoma in the title game before you even see LSU there. Do me a favor, go kill 30 more people so you can move up in the polls. If enough people die, you guys finally might get a trophy in the case. Dont pm me being whiney either. Just remember, for every dead person that helps you guys move up, every dead dog drops you a spot. I know I know, youre going to be defensive, give me 500 reasons why Tech is the chit and you dont defend Vick and whatnot but the polls are laughable and that was the point PVfan was making and that was the point I was agreeing with. Playing LSU two times several years apart and playing the 'jens once isnt exactly anything to brag about. Id have a better chance telling you who Miami hasnt played before Id waste my time telling you they have played. Mighty North Carolina sure took us down and I kinda expected things like that to happen for the next few seasons but before you declare your team world beaters, just keep in mind they only beat the mighty heels by a touchdown just last week at home.
i guess this is where the discussion ends...people can't make a valid point, only saying that "Tech sucks" and shouldnt even be ranked....hahaha...just, wow...
